Our Mission

At SurvivorsCollab.org, we believe in empowering people to rise up and overcome.

Just like the phoenix, every survivor who shares their creations here has endured their own personal hell, fire, loss, or hardship — and yet, they rise again. Through creativity, courage, and resilience, they have transformed pain into purpose and hope.

SurvivorsCollab.org is a project of Reinventing Ourselves, a nonprofit dedicated to health, happiness, and hope. Together, we provide a space where survivors can showcase their talents, tell their stories, and inspire others.

Showcase Platform

This is not an online store. Instead, it’s a space where survivors share their products, services, and stories. Each page highlights the maker and their journey, while directing you to how to support them directly (through Etsy, websites, or contact information).

What We Do:

Empower Survivors

By giving survivors visibility, we remind them that their voices, skills, and creativity matter. Their work is more than a product; it is a declaration that they are not defined by what they endured, but by what they have overcome. When survivors are seen, valued, and celebrated, they reclaim their power — and that empowerment fuels healing, dignity, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Inspire Hope

Every story shared here becomes a light for someone else still walking through the fire. When survivors rise and share their creations, they show others that ashes are not the end, but the beginning of something new. Each testimony of resilience sparks courage, reminding those still in pain that they, too, can rise, rebuild, and rediscover their own strength. Hope spreads like flame — igniting possibility in hearts that thought all was lost.

Why It Matters

When survivors rise, they don’t just rebuild their own lives — they spark a chain reaction of healing that touches families, communities, and the world. Each creation on this site is more than a product; it is living proof that out of brokenness can come beauty, and from struggle can come strength.

That is why Reinventing Ourselves proudly sponsors SurvivorsCollab.org. Our nonprofit is built on a single mission: to promote health, happiness, and hope. We believe that by lifting survivors and showcasing their resilience, we create ripples of empowerment that reach far beyond this website.

SurvivorsCollab.org is more than a platform — it is a movement, a testament to human strength, and a reminder that even in the ashes, there is light.

We invite you to discover how Reinventing Ourselves is transforming lives through wellness, education, and community support. Visit our website to see how we’re helping people rise — not just to survive, but to thrive.

Our Inspiration

After working alongside survivors and authors Cae Cordell and Carole Starr on other projects, we were deeply inspired by their powerful stories—and by the phoenix that graced the covers of their books. They showed us that even after walking through fire, it is possible not just to survive, but to rise and thrive! To honor their example, we chose the phoenix as our logo, a lasting symbol of resilience and rebirth.

This project was born during a Reinventing Ourselves meeting, when a team came together to help survivor Keith Handcock share his books with the world. As we brainstormed, we realized the potential was so much bigger—that by working collectively, we could reach out and help other survivors as well. Survivors who, like the phoenix, have walked through fire and now rise to not only survive, but to thrive and create. SurvivorsCollab.org is our way of honoring those journeys and providing a space where resilience and creativity come together to inspire hope.

Our Team

SurvivorsCollab.org is made possible through the dedication of a united team—professionals and survivors—working hand in hand through Reinventing Ourselves to uplift and empower others.
